The Ministry of Social Affairs and Housing works ambitiously with data development and research, aiming to evolve and spread effective initiatives in the social field.
With an enhanced focus on evolving the data quality and coverage of data, the goal is to promote and strengthen the knowledge base and thereby support robust and evidence-based policy-making.
The department's tasks include developing, reorganizing and improving data quality, in close collaboration with authorities and service providers in the field, including the municipalities.
The analytical approach contributes with insights into needs and potentials for investment in more effective social initiatives, and into understanding the effects of initiatives – which initiatives work the best, for whom, to what extent and in which contexts. This contributes to the understanding of how to reach further potential of improving the lifes of socially excluded and disadvantaged adults, children and young people, as well as elderly people.
