Everybody should have the opportunity of leading active, independent lives. We should make it easier to live with disabilities, and our activities should be planned on the basis of the individual disabled person’s needs. Our aim is to ensure disabled people full participation in the community and enable them to avoid isolation and social exclusion.
The government strives to ensure that Denmark converts the basic principles of our disability policy - equal treatment, compensation and sector responsibility - into actual initiatives that can make a difference in people’s lives.
