International cooperation

The Government emphasises the importance of a well-functioning international cooperation that supports social policy. This includes:

  • Mutual learning and best practice sharing between countries
  • Comprehensive transnational efforts in the social area
  • International regulation that secures mobility and freedom of movement

In a globalised world where Denmark is highly influenced by conditions in other countries, it is important to be able to join other countries in transnational social efforts.

For instance, international regulations are essential to ensure that frontier workers can freely move across borders while retaining their social rights.
