The Nordic Social Insurance Portal

Do you know which social security rules apply when you move to, take up work or study in another Nordic country?

Nordsoc.dk is a new portal, which gives general information about social insurance in the Nordic countries. If you move to a Nordic country, take up work or study, you can find guidance on which country's legislation you are subject to in different situations. Information is also available on which benefits a person is entitled to.

Nordsoc.dk provides information in all Nordic languages and in English. You can find information about the social insurance in Greenland and in the Faroe Islands in the respective languages.

The information is structured within four main areas: family benefits, sickness, pension and unemployment. You can also search for information within different role categories, for example employee, pensioner, student etc.

By going to the portal you can find the right authority in the right country and the contact links to the relevant authorities.

The portal has been created by the social insurance authorities in the Nordic countries with financing from the Nordic Council of Ministers. The Danish information on the website is updated by the National Social Security Agency (Sikringsstyrelsen).
